The Shimmer Program is DMPAC's introductory company program, designed for young dancers who are ready to take the next step in their training while enjoying expanded performance opportunities. This program provides a well-rounded foundation in multiple dance disciplines and serves as an introduction to the commitment, teamwork, and experiences of company membership.

Dancers in the Shimmer Program receive instruction in ballet, tap, jazz, and acro while building confidence, technique, performance skills, and a love for the arts in a supportive and encouraging environment.

Competition participation and Winter Ballet participation are included in this program, allowing dancers to experience the excitement of performing both on stage and in the competitive arena while continuing to develop their skills throughout the season.

• Black dance leotard (any style)

• Pink tights

• Optional ballet skirt or dance shorts

• Dancers with hair long enough to be secured should arrive with their hair pulled back in a braid, ponytail, or bun for all classes.
